Choose Your Own Adventure – Inspires Adventure

Today I’m going to share with you one of my favourite TED talks about travelling! It’s going to change your perception on gap years and challenge you to think about how you live your own life. It’s relevant to everyone, no matter what your age and regardless of your interest in taking a gap year or not. It contains some great advice and shows a different perspective on life!

I personally love Craig’s idea about taking a year out of your life to follow your passions and do what makes you happy – a year on!

Watch Craig Lewis’s TED talk about a year on here:

So for all those planning a gap year, think about what you want to get out of your year and make it the best year you possibly can! You’ll look back on it forever and cliche as it sounds you’ll most likely regret the things you didn’t do! As you can see from a year on you could combine: travel, volunteering, teaching, sport, entrepreneurship, employment and much more! It all depends on what you want out of your year! It’s an opportunity to do all those things you’ve always wanted to do whilst visiting places that interest you! The experience is invaluable and will be unique to you!

For everyone else, I’m not alvolcating that you quit your job and go travel the world, you can of course have a full time job and still travel! (What I do!) However I encourage you to: make time for the things you love; use your weekends/annual leave to go on adventures and most importantly do things that make you happy!

Where will your next adventure take you?
