If you could only pack 3 items in your day backpack alongside your wallet/purse, what would you take? Whist exploring on holiday it’s best to travel light but deciding what to take and what to leave behind can be tricky! I always take the below when I’m traveling and anything else is a nice extra!
My top 3 day backpack items are:
Nothing beats a printed map of the area you are wondering around. Yes, Google Maps/Map Me are great but using data (especially abroad) is expensive and will drain your phone battery. Contrastingly, a map is great for planning and marking out locations you want to visit. It also makes a nice travel souvenir after your adventure!
Photos capture a thousand words – cheesy but true! Capturing memories and experiences will make sure you can look back on them forever! Photography is also pretty relaxing and it’s a great feeling getting that postcard shot!
Pen and Notebook
These may seem like a strange thing to pack but can be handy in a variety of situations! Useful for: discreetly writing directions, writing down your adventures or can help communicate with the locals if you don’t speak the language!
